What's
Under the Great Big Blue?
On
the site – Below the heading "Learning
Program," you will find a wide array
of lesson plans for various marine environment
topics.
Each lesson consists of three parts:
- An Introduction that piques the students'
interest in the topic
- Part One, in which the students learn the
material
- Part Two, in which the students are given
a chance to absorb and apply the material
they learned in Part One
All of this is done with varied methods and
means. The program and the topics are adapted
for various ages.
The
lessons can be spread out during the year,
according to the material being taught, and
the lessons, as well as the plans, may be
combined.
For each topic, we have attached posters,
worksheets and additional links that are suitable
for the lesson plans.
The lesson plans were prepared using the experience
amassed by the education team in conjunction
with a teaching staff.
Also
on the site: A "Guide to Fish,"
which students can use as a reference when
preparing projects on marine-related topics.
We would be glad to help, advise, make recommendations,
and send additional material.
